Holden’s tough new seven-seater SUV, the Colorado 7 has been awarded a maximum five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
The Colorado 7 4WD’s safety credentials match its tough off-road capabilities which were developed in tandem with the Colorado truck launched earlier this year.
Colorado 7 boasts a comprehensive list of active and passive safety features including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), driver and front passenger airbags and full length curtain airbags standard across the range.
Holden’s Manager for Vehicle Structure & Safety Integration, Steve Curtis said safety was at the forefront of the vehicle’s development from the outset.
“Colorado 7 has the dual role of serious off-roader and true seven-seater family vehicle so safety was an absolute priority from the very beginning,” Mr Curtis said.
“The result is a vehicle that doesn’t just look tough but is an incredibly capable rugged 4WD able to go anywhere.
“It’s packed full of safety features to give you confidence whether you’re driving through challenging terrain or simply transporting your family around town.”
Like the Colorado crew cab range, ANCAP has confirmed the all-new Colorado 7 range will retain its maximum five-star safety rating when fitted with Holden's genuine accessory bull bar.
Making its Australian debut at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, Colorado 7 will go on sale later this year.
