Holden Captiva: More Efficient, More Features, More Choice

Holden’s popular Captiva SUV range is now available with new features, improved fuel efficiency and E85 capability across all petrol engines at no change to the recommended retail price.

Fuel economy improvements of up to 10 per cent have been achieved with powertrain calibration refinements and all petrol models now have flex-fuel capability, giving owners the choice to refuel with bio-ethanol, E10, unleaded, premium or any combination in between.

Bio-ethanol, also known as E85, is a fuel consisting of up to 85 per cent ethanol and 15 per cent petrol.  It is a cleaner-burning fuel that can enhance vehicle performance and reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 40 per cent, compared to petrol.

The 2012 updates also include the addition of new safety and luxury features with rear park assist now standard on the Captiva 7 SX, and heated front seats and front park assist now standard on the top of the range Captiva 7 LX.

Holden Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales John Elsworth said the new updates would make Captiva even more appealing.

“We’re constantly looking to improve our products whenever possible, responding to customer feedback and market changes to ensure our vehicles remain highly competitive and relevant to modern Australian families,” Mr Elsworth said.
