The 2011 Brisbane National 4x4 Show & Outdoors Expo in conjunction with the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show held at the RNA Showgrounds Friday 8th - Sunday 10th April 2011 has concluded with excellent results yet again.

34654* visitors attended the three day event, cementing the event as Queensland's premier 4x4 and fishing and boating event (*number excludes exhibitors and their guests).

Event organisers Exhibitions & Trade Fairs Pty Ltd (ETF) and Marine Queensland (MQ) had conservative expectations leading into the event considering the recent devastating events taking place in Brisbane and in Queensland as a whole while not forgetting the recent hike in fuel prices.

It’s a credit to ETF and MQ who teamed up and delivered an extensive advertising campaign which delivered such great results. It’s a family show and there is something for everyone relating to the outdoors and I’m sure each and every person who visited the show will agree with this.

Visitor feedback concluded that the event was one of the best shows ever held in Queensland, and with over 160 exhibitors in the 4x4 & Outdoor component of the show there was a great display of 4x4 products and services on offer.

Exhibitor feedback indicates the show delivered a quality crowd who were prepared to purchase at the show and many exhibitors stated they had record sales. With a sold out show this year and huge visitor numbers, exhibitors have been quick to secure their stands for the 2012 event to be held once again at the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds from 23rd -25th March 2012.

The extensive entertainment list for this year’s event included special guests, Simon (4WDTV), Danny (Your 4x4), Roothy (TJM & 4wd Action), Peter "Spida" Everitt (The Great Australian Doorstep & Radio programs) plus many more.

The Action Arena brought the event to life with a 4wd Test Track featuring the new Toyota FJ Cruiser, The ARB Diff Lock presentation, and also included presentations from Browns Grafix Mini Moto Team, Dave Metcalf's team with their All Terrain Vehicles, and of course the Loveday 4x4 Extreme Team with their Hit n Miss precision comedy show.

It’s such a great result for Queensland and the 4x4 and Outdoors industry, and this event has proven that more people are exploring the assets Australia has on offer. With the ever evolving four wheel drive vehicles, camper trailers and the new accessories available, these things continue to make the outback more accessible to those wishing to travel alone or with the whole family.

Special thanks to Conqueror Australia for providing a Conqueror UEV-330 camper trailer as the major show prize, Waeco for providing a dual zone Fridge & Freezer as the door prize and many other supporters giving prizes away over the weekend.

The Chemtech Show n Shine delivered some of the best presented 4wd vehicles in Queensland. Congratulations to Jeff Newick from Exclusive Tyres who took out the 'Best of Show' with his exceptionally presented Red Mitsubishi Triton Dual Cab Styleside.

Congratulations to TJM who took out the 'Best Stand Award' presented by Kingfisher Bay Resort Group. This award was judged on innovative stand design, presentation, appearance and staff interaction. It was a tough decision for the judges, as the quality and presentation of stands this year has certainly stepped up a notch. However there must be one winner and TJM are to be congratulated on their efforts.

As the 2011 event was a complete sell-out, the uptake of stands for 2012 will be extremely quick, so I’d encourage you to secure your position early.
